The album was cut when Smoke Creek was mostly Mike Murray and Susan Ellis. Most of the songs on this album are originals, done in traditional acoustic style. We had help from a number of musician friends on this one: Jay Finkelstein plays guitar on several tracks and does bass vocals on "Walls", Leah Kaufman plays guitar on a couple of tracks, Ted Briggs-Comstock plays dobro on two, and Jim and Mary Bicknell join in with harmonica and bass, respectively, on "Walls" and "Turkey in the Straw".
We're in the early stages of the project, but hope to have it out in a few months. Our plan is the album be all original -- songs and tunes written by Smoke Creek members.
